Up to $400 monthly cash payout for the care of a loved one at home
The Home Caregiving Grant replaces the Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) Grant from October 2019.
The Home Caregiving Grant (HCG) is a monthly cash payout of up to $400 to support your loved ones with at least permanent moderate disability, i.e. always require some assistance to perform 3 or more Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
This grant can be used to defray the costs of caregiving expenses, such as the costs of eldercare and caregiver support services in the community, or hiring of a Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW).
Household Monthly Income per person | HCG monthly payout (before 1 March 2023) | Enhanced HCG monthly payout (from 1 March 2023) |
$0- $1,500 (or Annual Value of Residence* ≤ $21,000 for households without income) | $200 | $400^ |
$1,501 - $3,600 | $250 |
^ If you own multiple properties, you will receive the lower tier of $250 per month.
* The Annual Value of your Residence in 2023 will be used to determine your eligibility for social support schemes such as HCG in 2024.
