By week 14, your little one is about the size of a peach, and between 7.5 and 9.5cm from head to bottom. Your pride and joy is likely to have soft hair covering the body, called lanugo. This falls out before the birth or shortly after. The liver is producing bile and the intestines are producing meconium, otherwise known as the first poo after birth. As the neck becomes stronger, your baby's previously jerky movements will become more fluid and relaxed.

If you've been keeping your pregnancy a secret until now, your belly might give you away as your womb continues to expand and you feel bloated. Perhaps your clothes are bulging and your jeans are becoming uncomfortable. Keep exercising to encourage blood flow through your body and to your baby. You can also start your Kegels or pelvic floor exercises by squeezing and holding your pelvic floor muscles. This will help with your recovery after birth and also reduce incontinence.
