What's Happening to Your Baby?

Your baby is now undergoing a rapid rate of development. The head is taking shape, along with facial features and ear canals. The liver, kidneys and lungs are also developing fast. If you thought your heart was bursting with pride, think of your little lentil (that's how much your baby's grown!). This little heart is beating twice as fast as yours, between 110 and 160 beats a minute.

What's Happening to You?

Hello there, pregnancy hormones! You may find yourself feeling happy one day and moody the next. Don't worry, these feelings are perfectly normal and these hormones will continue to wreak havoc with your emotions for the next nine months (and beyond). Your kidneys are working overtime to rid your body of waste, so get used to more frequent trips to the loo. Spotting, or light bleeding, can occur around this time but it's always a good idea to see your doctor for advice if this happens.
